Applications from individuals

If you would like to apply for a grant you will need to request or download our application for individuals.

Your application must be completed and supported by a third party sponsor. Unfortunately we are unable to accept applications from someone applying on their own behalf or via a family member / friend.

A sponsor could be, for example, your doctor or healthcare professional, social worker or a charity representative. Your sponsor will need to have a full and complete understanding of your circumstances giving us as much information as they can about you, your disability and what you require a grant for.

If you are unsure whether your sponsor is appropriate, please contact our administrator to seek further advice.

Applications from groups / organisations

If you represent a small charity or a community group and would like to apply for a grant you will need to request or download our application for groups / organisations.

Your application will need to present as much information about your group as you can - who attends, your project proposal, copies of your annual accounts, etc. If you are unsure whether your project meets our objectives, please contact our administrator to seek further advice.

Applications sponsored by Barchester staff

All Applications supported by Barchester Healthcare staff will be given priority. You can find your nearest Barchester care home here.

Size of grants available

Grants available range from £100 to £10,000. Obviously any application that is of substantial value will need an accurate costing breakdown and, where appropriate, quotes for services and equipment costs to validate the application.

Application process

Due to the large volume of applications we receive we are unable to acknowledge the receipt of any postal forms.

Applications will be processed as quickly as possible, and you can expect to receive a decision within 10 weeks. Where information is missing or needs elaboration we will formally request supporting material, putting the application on hold until it has been received.

How to apply

If you are unsure that your personal need or project fits our criteria we highly recommend discussing your proposal with our administrator who will be happy to answer your questions.
