Aileen Alberts, who works as a General Manager at Fordmill Nursing Home in Montrose, completed the Aviemore Ski Road challenge on Wednesday 25th August and raised a fantastic £731 for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
The weather on this late summer day was beautiful, and Aileen and her friend completed the very challenging ride of 139km in 5hrs 32min. The elevation gain was 1,538m and Aileen burnt nearly 5,000 calories in the process. It was a perfect day in stunning scenery with no punctures or technical issues.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Aileen, and to everyone who has donated. This money means a lot to our charity and to those we help during these very challenging times. If you would like to make a post-event donation, Aileen’s donation page is still open.
