Michael Beresford, originally from Glasgow, now living in London and who works as Head of Learning Programmes for Barchester, is doing the Ultra Challenge Cotswold Way. This is a 100k endurance walk from Bath to Cheltenham taking place over the weekend of 29th and 30th June. Michael will start at 9am on the Saturday, doing the continuous option, so hopes to finish on Sunday morning at 4 or 5 am.
The Cotswold Way provides a stunning setting for this testing challenge - with fantastic views enroute and some tough hills in between! It’s a Saturday morning start from historic Bath’s Royal Crescent, and ahead lies 100km of footpaths and trails before the welcome Cheltenham finish line. Michael has been completing regular 25k and 25mile walks in preparation, but this 100k walk where he will be walking continually for about 20 hours is going to be a massive mental and physical challenge.
Michael is raising money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation and The Little Art School Trust, which is a charity based in Ayrshire, Scotland who provide structured art classes’ to people affected by dementia.
Very best of luck to Michael and please support him on https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/MichaelBeresford3
