Rory Campbell, who works as a Music Therapist for Barchester Healthcare in Scotland, is running 209 miles or 336km over four events and raising money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.
Rory is doing these runs in preparation for an 8-day multi-stage running event in the Alps in September that will take him through four countries.
Rory already completed the John Muir Way Ultra Marathon on 30th March and managed the 31 miles (50km) run in 4hrs 29secs. Very close indeed to his 4h target and enough to get a very impressive 12th place overall.
Up next, on Saturday 27th April is the Highland Fling Ultra Marathon which follows the West Highland Way. It is a hilly and very challenging 53 miles (85km) run.
After that Rory is tackling the Scottish Islands Peaks Race on 17th May taking as long as it takes to complete the roughly 63 miles (101km). It starts in Oban and continues on the islands of Mull, Jura and Arran before finishing in Troon.
Finally, Rory will be running the St. Cuthbert’s Way Ultra on 29th June, which is 62 miles (100km) starting off on Holy Island and finishing up in Melrose.
