Huge congratulations to our amazing Barchester runners Shona Conway, Genevieve Glover, Claire Henley and Marie Wilson who completed the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 3 October.
Around 40,000 participants tackled the traditional 26.2 miles course from Greenwich to Westminster. Another 40,000 across the globe joined the party by completing their marathon challenge virtually during a 24-hour window – making the 41st London Marathon a truly memorable occasion and an uplifting celebration of the event’s #WeRunTogether campaign.
Our runners finished in very impressive times, with plenty of time to spare. They all really enjoyed their marathon experience, though sadly our 5th team member Tom Hodges had to pull out last minute due to a back injury.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our inspiring runners and to everyone who has donated. Collectively our runners have raised over £4,500 for us, which will make a massive difference to the people we help. If you would like to make a post-event donation, the runners’ donation pages are still open:
