Our runners for the Asics London 10k Run
/ June 2022For the 6th time we have runners taking part in the iconic London 10k Run on Sunday 10th July. Thousands of runners will wind their way through Central London together. As well as seeing some of London's top landmarks, they will also run past the True Geographical Centre of London, down closed Regent Street, the Strand and Embankment, and get the best view across the river of the London Eye.
Our runners this year are Iona Beckett and Ben Bownass from Hackney, East London. Iona has a connection to the Foundation via her mother who is one of our trustees
Iona did the run for us last year and really liked it. So much that she decided to do it again, and also rope in her friend Ben.
The runners are fundraising for Barchester's Charitable Foundation – and any donation will go towards supporting older people and other adults with a disability or mental health problems across England, Scotland and Wales. Our grants help people connect or re-connect with others in their local community, and our focus is to combat loneliness and enable people to be active and engaged.
Our runners are hoping to raise at least £150 and please click here to show your support.
Good luck to our runners with this exciting challenge!
