We are very proud of our amazing Barchester Marathon runners. Gary Washbrook ran the iconic London Marathon and Suzi Gibson & Phillis Dzowa completed the Virtual London Marathon on Sunday 2nd October.
Around 40,000 participants tackled the traditional 26.2 miles course from Greenwich to Westminster. Another 50,000 across the globe joined the party by completing their marathon challenge virtually during a 24-hour window – making the 42nd London Marathon a truly memorable occasion.
Gary finished in an impressive 5 hours 6 minutes and aid that he took it slow and steady so that he could get around and enjoy it too. Gary said that the atmosphere was amazing from start to finish.
Suzi had 24 hours to do the race, but ran the marathon in an impressive net time of 4 hours 53 minutes.
