Westergate House Care Home in Fontwell, West Sussex are currently completing a mammoth charity walk of 682 miles or 13,640 laps of their track. This equates to the distance between Westergate House and Pentland View Care Home on the north Scottish coast, which is the Barchester home furthest away from them.
The staff and residents at Westergate House are raising money for Barchester's Charitable Foundation and a local dementia charity called Sage House.
As of early November, they are at 401 miles or 8,013 laps of their track and hope to complete the walk by the end of the year.
