New trustees Julia Scott and Andy Tilden
We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new trustees to our board: Julia Scott and Andy Tilden, who both bring a wealth of experience from their exceptional careers working in the field of social care.

Free tennis coaching sessions for the disabled
Last July we awarded funding to Purley Bury Tennis Club towards the continuance of free professionally coached sessions for those with learning difficulties, autism, mental health conditions and wheelchair users - all looking to improve their tennis skills and mobility.

Fun on the beach
In August 2021 we awarded funding to a young disabled woman for a beach walker. Jessica received significant burns and life changing injuries as an infant as the result of a household fire, and she is a double amputee above the knee with partial amputation to all fingers.

Cadbury World outing
In September last year we awarded a funding contribution to 'Gelli Life for Living', a group set up to help reduce loneliness and isolation for those living with ill health or a disability in the Welsh valleys. On the 19th October, 33 members of the group went on a trip

Wheelchair Rugby
Back in July this year, we awarded a grant to a gentleman with Cerebral Palsy who has been wheelchair bound for 5 years. The grant was used to purchase a new made to measure Rugby League Wheelchair.

Festive cheer

Barchester London Region Cycling Challenge
On Sunday 28 November, Wayne Hughes, Regional Director of Barchester Healthcare’s London Region, will lead a team of care home workers from his division on a 63 mile cycling tour around 10 Barchester care homes across North London to raise money for two worthy charities
