Finding a new purpose
Funding was awarded to a women with a T12 complete spinal injury. Dawn needed funding towards the purchase of an electric assist off-road handcycle. Dawn's injury occurred in 1999 and having raised her family, she was looking for a new purpose.
Three Peaks in 24 hours
In May, an intrepid team of Barchester Healthcare staff will be tackling the three highest peaks in the UK within 24 hours to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.

Reminiscence Learning were very pleased to receive funding from us towards the ongoing costs of their community sessions.
Bike Active North Suffolk
Towards the end of December last year, we awarded funding to Bike Active North Suffolk. They are a small charity based in Saxmundham, Suffolk. They provide their service users with safe cycling experiences on traffic-free cycle paths or quiet lanes.
Tour de Barchester 2025
Now in its fourth year, the Tour de Barchester is back and taking place from 10th - 13th June.
Independence for this woman in her 90s!
We awarded funding to Rita, who is registered as partially sighted due to macular degeneration and is losing her eyesight. As a young woman she had a lumber fusion. Now in her 90s, she fractured her spine 2 years ago which stopped her being mobile.
Improving Katy's independence
In January this year, we awarded funding to Katy towards the purchase of an electric wheelchair. Katy has had Guillarme Barre Syndrome for most of her life.
Sport4Health
Funding was awarded to Sport4health. As an organisation they have been running since 2007, initially set up as a Community Interest Company before converting to a registered charity.
